Matt Ryan sharp in debute

Matt Ryan played very well in his first action of the preseason. He wasn't spot-on with all his throws, but he is a rookie and everything considered, Falcons fans have to have a glimmer of hope for the future.

For his sake, I hope he keeps it up. I've liked the interviews I've seen him do...seems like a good guy.

He should do fine if his O-Line can protect him. He does seem like a class act even if he did go to BC.

He does seem like a smart kid and a class act. For some reason, he had a propensity to throw INTs in his senior year...which is why I thought he was a bit of a reach at #3 in the draft.

That being said, he made a lot of nice throws & plays while at BC. The Falcons' franchise can take a huge step in the right direction if Ryan can live up to being the first QB taken in the 2008 Draft. This franchise deserves a little good fortune going their way.

5 carries for 22 yards, no catches...nothing special, but it was against the Jags (which makes Ryans performance a little more credible).

Good point... 4 yards per carry is not to bad?
