Guys,

I appreciated all of your inputs on the "2nd Tier QB Rankings".  I wanted to get your insight on this one.  I initally drew the #10 draft position in my 10-team Fantasy Money League.  Well, another player wanted to trade me his #2 draft position (snake draft) for my #10 position.  Since I really wanted 3 of the Top 22 players, I accepted his offer quickly.

So...I just wanted to get everyone's take on who #2 should be.  I've narrowed it down to A-Pete, Westy, and Tom Brady.  This league is a "QB friendly league" in terms of points -- 6 pts. per passing TD.  Last year, the guy who had Brady won the regular season (I won the Super Bowl).  If Brady has a similar year as in 2007, he would be worth taking.  However, I think/hope I can get a Drew Brees-type QB in Round 2.  That would leave A-Pete vs. Westbrook.   Westy will probably get more combined yardage with his receiving skills, but A-Pete should get more TDs & could just explode in his 2nd. year.  I'm leaning towards taking A-Pete with the pick, but I wanted to hear what everyone else thinks.

Thanks as always!

WESTY... all the way, I watched AP love the kid, but is he really proven?? Westy does it year in , but health is a issue, AP has Chester, Westy is the man, Plus reid really likes to use him, IMO   WESTY......

I would not even hesitate to take AP.  A non-PPR league is right up that guys alley.  I like the thought of AP and Brees versus Brady and Ryan Grant.

It's hard to argue against Westy, but AP will find the end zone more and may get close to 2000 total yards this year.  I just can't see taking Westbrook over AP personally.

IMO the eagles use Westy much more, WR, RB, they try and get the ball in his hands, I think Taylor will spell AP at times & if hot play?? JMO

Taylor never set the all time single game record for rushing...I don't think AP sits any more.  They eased him in as a rookie, but you don't sit that kind of talent down for any more than a breather.

Westy will get the ball a lot, but since these two are close in rankings, you need to look at the teams they'll face.  I'd rather face the Packers, Lions, and Bears D over the Skins, Giants and Cowboys.

Jets if you're really torn, check out their playoff schedule and see who has it easier.

WEEK 14
PHI @ NYG
MIN @ DET
Winner = AP

WEEK 15
CLE @ PHI
MIN @ ARI
Winner = Westy

WEEK 16
PHI @ WAS
ATL @ MIN
Winner = you if you take AP

Dave -- GREAT post about the playoff schedule.  Thanks for that.  I'm heavily leaning towards A-Pete.

thaas -- I liked your points as well.  I was a bit torn as I love Westy also.

Thanks for both of your inputs.  I hope others will weigh in as well.

I say take Westy, I think he'll get more TDs than AP total.

I would grap AP for sure.  Westbrook is hard to argue with... but my concern is that they try to get the ball into his hands on every play.  They lack playmakers on the Eagles, so they always overwork him, which leads to a greater chance of an injury.  It happens almost every year.  I think the Vikes overworked Peterson last year too, but the signed Berrian, and have Rice going into his second year.  They should provide a little downfield relief for Peterson.

Again, I appreciate all the input.  It looks like I had reason to be torn with this selection.

thaas & scotty like Westy.

csgigliotti & Doomsday like A-Pete.

I still haven't made up my mind completely, but I am probably leaning towards the upside of A-Pete...especially since he has much easier fantasy playoff matchups in Weeks 14 & 16.  Westy is hard to pass up, though.  I love those RBs that also catch a lot of passes.

I would love to also hear from Joe Q our resident Eagles expert...along with Faulk if you're available.

Again -- thanks to all who have contributed to this topic...that's what makes this site so great!

Don't know if this makes a difference but

LT Bryant McKinnie docked 4 games ESPN Radio reports Vikings LT Bryant McKinnie is suspended for 4 games for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.

Might affect AP??

Wow, that's a big loss for the Vikes OL.  I think this does impact the value of all offensive players.  Now, I wouldn't say it knocks AP out of the top 5, but it does make Westy about even with him IMO.
