Did any Cowboy fans out there see the Dallas/Denver game?  From the stats, it appears that Cutler tore up the Cowboy secondary.  I was wondering if Dallas had most of their starters in or not.  Is this any cause for concern about the Dallas D?  Or...were they benching most of their good players & just playing vanilla defense?  Also -- did Cutler look as good as the stats would suggest?  It looks like Brandon Marshall could be a stud when coming off from suspension.  I'm wondering if he's now worth a flyer pick in the middle rounds.

As for the Dallas D...I am considering drafting them if I can't get Minny or San Diego's D in my money fantasy draft league.   Any input on last night's game would be appreciated.  Thanks!

It's on the NFL Network today at 4:00 and I'll be DVRing it.  I read quite a few articles on the game and it appears that Denver planned on a little deception (nothing wrong with that) to win this game.  Dallas has been practicing with Denver all week and during the game, they showed the Cowboys D totally different looks than what they saw during the week.

Also, Phillips did say they had a very "vanilla" defensive scheme and they should have played more aggressive.  I think the combination of the two was the biggest problem.  I wouldn't worry too much about the Cowboys D since last week their starters shut down San Diego with two straight three and outs.

The biggest concerns for the Cowboys in this game, both for offense and defense, was their penalties.  They had 7 against the Chargers and 9 last night.  It won't matter how good the defense is, if they are undisciplined (two unnecessary roughness penalties) they will give up points and get fatigued from being on the field so long.

Another issue is if your league scores a TD against your D for return TDs allowed.  Dallas' STs unit has really looked "average at best"  Laughing

Overall, I'd say if the Dallas D has one more performance like this, they'll need to start falling in the rankings.  However, I still believe they have a ton of talent and will overcome these issues to be one of the best Ds

Dave -- thanks for the update.  That is very helpful.  My money league fantasy draft is in 10 days.  I'll have one more week to see if Dallas should be my 3rd./4th. ranked D behind Minny & San Diego.  Another bad performance & I might shy away...but I'll give them another chance.

Didn't watch the game yet so I don't know how anyone "looked".  I'll tell you in a day or so.  I'll watch the game tonight and give an overview, much like I did last week.  I wish more people would do that for their respective teams...

jets,
Agreed.  If Dallas comes out and plays sloppy again, I'd have to move them below the NYGs.
