OK guys, let's hear from you.  I'm having a tough time deciding who's the 5th best D.  I think it's SD, MIN, DAL, NYG, and JAX.  Anyone have a different ranking out there?  Anyone want to take a stab at the top 10?

What no N.E.??  I would think the Bears just because my D includes ST which includes Devin Hester

thaas isn't going to like this because this won't inspire one of our famous debates...

I totally agree with your Top 5...in that exact order.   After last night, I'm a bit shaky at Dallas being #3.  However, for now, this is exactly as I have my Top 5.

My 6-10 Defenses:

6.) Chicago -- I don't think their D is what it has been in the recent past.  However, you can't ignore the Special Teams impact of Devin Hester.  Plus, the NFC North isn't as imposing offensively without Favre.

7.) Seattle -- This is a bit higher than most people have them.  With S-Jax being a ??? in St. Louis, Seattle's division also doesn't look imposing offensively.  I think they are going to rely on their D a little more than usual as their offense may struggle somewhat.

8.) Pittsburgh -- If this was simply based on ability, it would be a Top 5 Defense.  However, their schedule is absolutely brutal -- NE, Indy, SD, Cleve & Cincy twice, and the NFC East.  Their bad schedule drops them down a few notches IMO.

9.) New England -- Most have them higher than this.  I think they are still good, but they are aging.  Plus, Favre makes the Jets more explosive than last season.  They should thrive vs. teams like Miami....but I don't think they are an "every week" start Defense IMO.

10.) Washington -- Tough call here.  They play in the difficult NFC East, but they had a pretty good D last year & Jason Taylor should make it even better.

That's just one humble guy's opinion...

I think jets and I are pretty close on the top 10 as well.  The only differences are I have NE and PIT switched, and I have the Titans at #10 instead of WAS.

Thanks for your thoughts.

No problem at all...

Tenn & Washington are close.  They both play in brutally tough divisions.  I believe Jacksonville is going to have a nice year offensively, Indy is always tough, and if AJ stays healthy, the Texans should also have a formidable offense.  Tennessee, like Washington, has a tough division in terms of offensive units.
