Shaun Alexander -- Totally & completely done.  I've said this all off-season.  Nobody wants to touch him with a 10 foot pole.  You can tell that he just has too much wear & tear by the way he ran last season.  This can happen to RBs all of a sudden.  It's a brutally physical position on the football field.

Travis Henry -- He's not done completely, but I'm not sure he'll ever be an elite RB.  He doesn't have the character, work ethic, or toughness for that.  He is injury prone & obviously makes questionable decisions off the football field.

Dante Culpepper -- I think he's done.  He is having problems making an NFL team as a backup.  His injury was serious & he came back too soon.  Plus, Randy Moss can make any QB look good when he's motivated.  I don't believe he'll ever be a team's #1 QB again.

I think we'll see Alexander this season at some point if a team loses its starting RB to an injury.  They'll sign him but he'll be sub par at best.

I have to agree with jets assessment of all three.  If I were an NFL team desparate for a RB, I'd try to get Corey Dillon out of retirement before going with Alexander.  Henry is more likely to find a team mid-season IMO because there would be less risk and he's in better shape, but he's on his last NFL legs.

Culpepper seems to be done.  If he can't beat out Leftwich for a backup position and can't beat out Brodie Croyle for a starting gig (not that the Chiefs even looked), I think he's going to join Aaron Brooks as a "where are they now" candidate.

Thanks, thaas.  The Crystal Ball is itching for the season to get started.

I'll probably post a 2008 Season Predictions article in the near future.  I've gotta ask Joe Q. how to post an article on this new site.  I can't wait for the season to start.
