i have Matt Leinart as my backup QB Which i would only use in bye week as i have Brees, that said Kitna has a PREFECT passer rating in preseason and he is available should i pickup Kitna & drop Leinart??
I would. Leinart may not even be the starter by the time Brees' bye hits.
There is NO way I am giving ANYBODY advice to pick up Jon Kitna in 2008.
Seriously, I like Leinart a little better as I believe Arizona will name him the starter & be patient with him. He does come with some risk as Doomsday mentions above. I just think if you assume he's the starter for good, he's got 2 great WR weapons & I think Edgerrin James is on his last legs. Arizona should be throwing a lot in 2008.
Plus...I hate Jon Kitna. I will NOT pull another "Kitna" again!

This year, Drew Brees will be the QB that I curse. He'll probably be lucky to throw for 2,000 yds.

Speaking of the expert league, it looks like our backup QB Rex Grossman has lost his starting job to Orton...
I'm glad we have Drew Brees...I truly think he'll have a special 2008 season.
I don't know if Joe is taking control of the league, but he should probably just pick up T-JAX. He looked good before getting banged up...much better than either Bears QBs anyway.

I'll monitor it as the season goes on. So far, Gholston has been a "lucky avatar" since we got Brett Favre 2 weeks ago.
You, on the other hand, need to get an avatar of your own. There are so many good Vikings over the years/currently to choose from...don't let me down!

Leave it to thaas to change the subject about getting an avatar of his own.
Gholston has been struggling a bit learning a new position -- the Jets want to use him as an outside linebacker vs. the down lineman DE position he mainly played at Ohio St. The Jets are still impressed with his speed...he just has to learn the nuances of his new position. He played better in the second game vs. the Redskins. I'm still very optimistic that he'll make a solid contribution to the Jets' D in 2008.

Nearly all DEs making this transition struggle. Ware had some problems in preseason his rookie year as did Merriman and they both did very well as rookies. Even Dallas' pick last year, Anthony Spencer, had some learning, but did well as a starter while Greg Ellis was recovering early in the year.
Gholston should be fine.
And as for the avatar thaas....
How about
AP or John Randle (that would be a cool looking avatar with all the face paint).
Just do me a favor and don't get Chris Carter, I'd rather not look at those Groucho Marx eyebrows every time you write something.
