CALIFORNIA (BASN) -- It was the beginning of the end of an era. The presidency of Jimmy Carter and the dominance of the Democratic Party was nearing the end in Washington, D.C.

BASEBALL, BEING, BASEBALL AGAIN

How many more times will Americans read the headlines that tell of another baseball player being suspended for the alleged use of drugs. Somehow the sport of baseball does not get it. Black Movie Director Spike Lee stated many times “DO THE RIGHT THING”, which is what baseball should do. Many Americans are beginning to lose interest in this unique sport because it will not control itself.

Kalas collapses, rushed to hospital

The legendary Phillies announcer and voice of NFL films, Harry Kalas, was found passed out in a press box at Nationals stadium in Washington about an hour ago. He was rushed by ambulance to George Washington University Hospital and his situation has been described as serious.
